2010 Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk

The Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event and is part of the Poolesville Day celebrations for the Town of Poolesville, Maryland.  Runners and walkers of all levels of ability are welcome and encouraged to participate.  The gently rolling race course travels through the quiet neighborhoods of historic Poolesville, Maryland. 
The Poolesville Day 5k is known by local runners as a fast, friendly course and a good opportunity for a fast PR! Age Group and Monetary $$$ Awards:
$100 for overall 1st Male and Female
$75 for overall 2nd Male and Female
$50 for overall 3rd Male and Female
$50 for 1st Masters 40+ Male and Female
$50 for 1st Masters 50+ Male and Female

The day will consist of games, food, and fun!

PARADE 

10:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.  (Along Fisher Avenue, starts at elementary school & ends at intersection of Fisher Ave & Rt. 109)

Poolesville Band Project Concert

Friday, September 3, at 7pm, the Poolesville Band Project will be performing at Whalen Commons.

This local band can appeal to all with their “unpredictable” talent in different forms of music.  Sometimes they play country, sometimes they play Motown.  The Band can also play blues!

Poolesville Farmers Market

Local vendors will be selling artisan cheeses, fresh corn, soaps, breads, pastries, dog treats and more!

If you think that’s where the fun ends, you’re wrong! There will be local author book signings by Ray Hoewing, Mary Ann Powell, Jonathan Balcombe, Bernie Jankowski, and Melissa Foster; and An evening concert will be held from 7pm-9pm by Mindy Miller & The Steamers.
